Wellness and Health

Wellness and health awareness are major focal points at Artest University, driven by the advocacy of our co-founder, Metta World Peace. Metta has been a vocal advocate for mental health, sharing his personal journey through public platforms, most notably in his Showtime documentary “Quiet Storm: The Ron Artest Story.” In the United States alone, nearly half of adults (46.4 percent) will experience a mental illness during their lifetime, highlighting the critical need for increased awareness and support.

At Artest University, we are committed to changing the narrative and removing the stigma surrounding mental health. We aim to educate the public through partnerships with organizations like the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). By increasing public knowledge about mental health, we strive to ensure that individuals are better prepared to access necessary assistance, manage their needs daily, and receive support from family and friends. Our goal is to foster a community where mental wellness is prioritized and openly discussed, creating a healthier society for all.
